Jack Roper is known for his comedy magic all across the Carolinas and Georgia. Roper was most recently inducted into the South Carolina Entertainment & Music Hall of Fame.
A native of Union, SC, Roper joined 7NEWS as a meteorologist in 1986, where he forecast the weather for 22 years. In 2017 he began hosting Your Carolina and stayed with the show until his retirement.
Throughout his career he earned an Emmy award and won four South Carolina Broadcasters Association's TV Personality of the Year awards.
A self-taught magician and a talented drummer, Roper has appeared on the "Hee Haw" variety show, played banjo on stage with the Smothers Brothers, played drums in concert with the Greenville Symphony, and was the drummer in his own 'The Weatherman Band.'
